Optimization under uncertainty using surrogate thermo-economic model : A case study on biogas fed Solid Oxide fuel cells.1. Developed a surrogate empirical model of thermo-electrical parameters for biogas fed Solid Oxide Fuel Cell.2. Surrogate models were within 10% accuracy of 1-d SOFC Simulink model developed by National Energy Technology Lab, Department of Energy, USA.3. Model training and curve fitting using MBC toolbox Matlab.4. Simulations conducted under constraints of varied biogas cost, the CAPEX cost of SOFC, electricity price, and district heating price.5. The optimization was setup using genetic algorithm in Matlab

Master's Thesis Research objective: To develop a dynamic liquid driven thermal management system for a parallel hybrid electric aircraft propulsion system. I have designed and simulated a microchannel based liquid cooling system that can stabilize the operating temperature of a electrical components that operate on MW scale. The system design includes cross flow heat exchanger and centrifugal pump. The analysis included sensitivity study for different coolant inlet temperature.The research deliverables included evaluation of weight of the thermal management system and the electrical components in the system corresponding to current , future 10 years from the sizing of the electrical components, heat exchangers and pump.

Developed a parametric energy management model integrated with weather and road elevation data, to evaluate an optimum race strategy for the 7 day Bridgestone world solar challenge, October 2019 .Responsible to conduct the energy consumption test to calibrate the car for speed vs consumption/efficiency.Co-ordinate the optimum race plan.

Modeled and simulated a micro-gas turbine system using open-modelica simulation tool . The model is designed to calculate the optimum air and fuel flow with respect to electricity demand and the desired turbine temperature . The model has been validated with Turbec T100 industrial micro gas turbine.

I conducted a sensitivity analysis of fresh water withdrawal and consumption projection by the power sector under different scenarios of growth and mitigation for the timeline of 2011-2050.Further I identified the mutual impact of thermal power plant and water allocation in regions of acute water stress and conducted a mapping study in correlation with the region wise live water storage capacity. This helped me give a proposal of water resource management system to optimize the resource utilization.
