I was an elected student representative for all the students who identify as women at London Metropolitan University.I led the Women's Forum and worked with other Students' Union staff to organise events for women regarding employability and wellbeing.Key achievements include: - Successfully hosted 'Being a woman in the modern workplace', an event to give students an insight into what to expect as a woman in different fields, to focus on intersectionality in relation to ethnicity and sexuality, and to feel empowered to pursue their dreams. Examples of organisations that attended are UCL Partners, Chicago Booth, FIFA and the US Agency for International Development - Collaborated on the Centre for Equity and Inclusion's 'It Ends Here' Campaign and created a Consent Awareness Focus Group to develop an educational and dynamic consent workshop, informed by intersectionality and was LGBTQ+ inclusive, to roll out to all students- Hosted Women's Week in honour of International Women's Day consisting of a Sexual Health Workshop, Public Sexual Harrassment Workshop by Our Streets Now, Women's History Quiz Night and a Ladies Night-Began the first steps of a campaign to help ensure the availability of free and sustainable period products on campus

As a Student Governor of the Board of Governors, my key area of expertise was the student experience and inserting their voice in discussions relating to the general welfare of students. My role was to also be the key point of contact between the Board and the Students' Union to maintain a collaborative and transparent relationship.I was also a member of the Governance Committee, a subcommittee under the Board of Governors, which involved making nominations to the Board of Governors to fill vacancies in the membership of the Board, the offices of Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board, the office of Vice-Chancellor, any vacancies in the membership of committees to which the Board makes appointments. I have also sat on interview panels to appoint different roles to the Board of Governors.

As Students' Union President, I sat on the Learning, Teaching and Quality Committee which oversees the development, implementation and review of the University strategies for Access and Participation and monitoring student outcomes against Key Performance Indicators in relation to student satisfaction, retention, progression, attainment and employability.Some key responsibilities and achievements:- Submitting Students' Union Reports to each Committee meeting throughout the academic year with particular updates on Education-related projects my Officer team and I were a part of- Being a member of Task and Finish Group approved by the Committee to review the current Academic Regulations at London Met- Being a member of the Assessment Practice Working Group approved by the Committee to review and feedback on the current Assessment Framework and Guide in order to create the Assessment Compendium, which will introduce more inclusive assessment methods, and launched at the annual Learning and Teaching Conference in June 2022.

The Academic Board is responsible under delegated authority from the Board of Governors for maintaining and enhancing the academic performance of the University in teaching, examining, and research, and for advising the Board of Governors on matters relating to the educational character and mission of the University.I also submitted Students' Union Reports to each Committee meeting throughout the academic year with particular updates on Education-related projects my Officer team and I were a part of and also raised student concerns relating to assessments, overall academic support, and welfare.
