In addition to previous responsibilities, the scope of my role increased to include:- Overseeing the production of monthly management accounts for a newly acquired business unit.- Line managing the Assistant Accountant by supporting them with day-to-day operations as well as managing their workload and responsibilities. - Collaborating with the Head of IT to produce the Group IT Costs budget, which is the largest cost area in the business. Producing IT Cost variance analysis and presenting this to senior management on a monthly basis to facilitate cost control and decision making. - Creating and facilitating Excel training for other members of the finance team.

- Responsible for the full UK P&L, posting journals, completing the month end and subsequent reporting on a monthly basis.- Managing revenue recognition for project revenue under IFRS 15 based on go live dates and spreading revenue across the life of customer contracts.- Processing Intercompany recharges between various subsidiaries and responsible for managing the intercompany balances across the group. - Providing cost analysis vs budget on a monthly basis for heads of departments to aid decision making.- Working closely with auditors to provide information and answer queries for year end audits.- Overseeing the completion of prepayments and fixed assets, and reviewing all balance sheet reconciliations.- Developed a Client Profitability model to track all revenue and costs attributed to each customer and determine which contracts are most profitable. This information is used by senior management as well as Sales and Account Management to develop strategies for future contracts and renewals.

- Assisting with the Management Accounts, specifically focusing on Sales and Administrative costs including posting appropriate accruals and prepayments.- Working closely with the Finance Business Partner to consolidate the total forecast for the Operating Unit. - Assisting with the preparation of the annual Tax Packs to be provided to Group Finance.

- Responsible for the Housing Month End including accruing and deferring revenue and costs in line with IFRS 15 accounting standards. - Providing a variance analysis at Month End for both revenue and billing and providing relevant commentary which is circulated to the wider business. - Attending monthly meetings with the Sales Director of the business unit, to discuss the Month End results and gain business insight to facilitate accurate forecasting. - Developed and took ownership of a revenue recognition model for the transition from IAS11 to IFRS15. This incorporated not only the revenue deferrals but also cost deferrals at a standard cost rate, and the model was adopted by management accountants in other business units.- Heavily involved in the IFRS 15 restatement of the FY19 opening balance for my business unit, which involved looking at individual deals, tracing back performance obligations to the original contracts and determining the accounting treatment based on revenue types.- Worked with the systems accountant to learn more about the technical aspects of the TM1 reporting system. I used this knowledge to bridge the gap between the management accountants and the systems accountant, by answering queries within the general finance team and making suggestions for the development of new reporting tools. - Preparing and facilitating Excel training for other members of the finance team.- Approving new business deals from a Finance perspective to ensure that the revenue and costs were correct, as well as the profit centres they were booked against.

Hertfordshire

- Working with the Finance Business Partner to provide clear, concise and accurate financial information to the wider business. - Responsible for the Housing Month End including accruing and deferring revenue and costs in line with IFRS accounting standards. - Running reports to facilitate analysis of the P&L on a monthly basis.- Solely responsible for the Housing billing forecast which involves using various data sources and communicating with stakeholders around the business including sales directors.- Providing a variance analysis at each Month End for both revenue and billing and providing relevant commentary which is circulated to the wider business. - Performing cost analysis using SAP in order to apply the matching principle for cost accruals particularly in the case of support contracts. - Undertaking project work to improve processes and efficiency within the finance department. - Preparing and facilitating Excel training for members of the finance team.

Responsibilities and duties include:- Supporting the Studio Finance Manager throughout the forecast, budget and close processes; variance analysis and commentary of the forecast files.- Running various reports in systems such as SAP, Cognos and Zeus on a monthly basis.- Building new / improving reporting tools for the emerging markets Finance team.- Performing adhoc analysis/projects as required by Senior Management.Skills gained include:- I have gained an understanding of the way a large organisation is structured and operates as well as the cultural distinctions across 5 different emerging markets.- This position has enabled me to improve upon my data analysis and interpretation skills.- I have taken advantage of the many networking and training opportunities offered to me throughout the year, and believe it will greatly benefit me in the future.- I am now confident with a variety of systems used in the finance industry.

Responsibilities and duties include:- Daily reconciliation and banking of all income.- Handling large amounts of cash.- Collection and security of all floats and takings.- Investigating discrepancies and variances.- Administration responsibilities - completing and filing financial reports, sending out regular emails to store managers.- Answering telephone queries in a polite and helpful manner.- Using a variety of technological tools such as Business Intelligence (BI) and Microsoft Excel to provide documents and figures for store managers.- A personal responsibility of mine is completing and compiling all paperwork and preparing summary spreadsheets for month end to send off to the Finance department at Head office.

Responsibilities and duties include:- Providing customers with a premium service at the Global Flagship Nike store and delivering professional advice to ensure consumer satisfaction. - Carrying out both cash and card transactions on the cash registers including refunds and exchanges. - Training and motivating new athletes, providing them with in depth product knowledge and technical skills.
