My core values are intentionality, growth, intellectual curiosity, and humility. I love great ideas and great people, and I admire being challenged in what I believe or understand. These qualities define much of who I am and flow into everything I do.Throughout university, as I learned more about the world and its challenges, I wanted to do more than just feel angry about it. That’s why I’m passionate about working in public service and why I’ve chosen to start my career in development. Currently, I’m immersing myself in the development field in Egypt, working as a Strategy Assistant in the Learning & Strategy sector at the Sawiris Foundation, where we are guided by the principles of effective altruism, directing our funds toward evidence-based projects for maximum impact. I am focusing on learning the nuances of development, understanding what works best and why, while exploring innovations and identifying gaps in processes and policies to determine where I can contribute most effectively to the world. I love debating and discussing ideas across politics, economics, systems, and change, as well as exploring topics in management, leadership, innovation, and learning.
