• Ran a progressive and inclusive campaign during the onset of a global pandemic with a mission to bring equity to policy and budget decisions in local community. Directed city staff and consultants to conduct a comprehensive Public Safety review which supported the creation of a mobile crisis unit, an alternative to armed police response for mental health crises and unhoused neighbor supports. Spearheaded an affordable housing ballot measure scheduled to come before voters in November 2024.• Developed Culver City’s first Pride event in 2021 with community organizers, over 300 community members participated in a Pride Bike Ride, rally, and activities in support of LGBTQIA+ individuals.• Surpassed a $30K fundraising goal (raised over $50K), to become the first Black woman elected to the council. Endorsed by over 150 community organizations, community leaders and grassroots supporters including Congresswoman Karen Bass.
