Legal consultant with the UN team of experts on Rule of law and sexual violence in conflict.

I Founded the SAIF Foundation for Rights and Freedoms (SFRF), supported by the Euro-Mediterranean Foundation Of Support To Human Rights Defenders (EMHRF), to provide legal support to victims of human rights violations, with a focus on refugees and minorities in Egypt.

I Established the Yasmin Omar firm in 2011. through the firm, we provided legal services such as criminal litigation, contracts, family disputes, and legal consultations. Also, we offered pro-bono legal services on human rights issues relating to refugees and asylees, children's rights, and freedom of expression.

Personally, supervising and working in “Hemaya” (Protection) Project to Provide legal support to torture and use of cruelty victims. Job duties included:• Legally represent victims in courts, prosecution and in civil actions• Hold seminars and promote awareness against torture crimes and rights to physical integrity.• Co-Lead and manage a team of 14 lawyers around Egypt.• Prepare and present project progress reports to promote public monitoring of police and public official’s brutality and torture against civilians.• Project paper available at http://www.ug-law.com/downloads/Continous%20Crime-En.pdf
