### DS Get - Windows Phone App.- A mobile client to create and manage downloading tasks for Synology NAS with a built-in web browser. - The app. contained all major features in iOS/Android platform and was developed from scratch only within 4 months.- Javascript injection for URL detection and automatic downloading### DS Photo - Android App.- A folder based photo viewer for Synology NAS, which is one of the most popular Synology app (Around 1-5 million downloaded).- I was assigned as the project owner since Mar. 2014- Major features:1. Offline album accessing using SQLite DB2. Media casting features based on DLNA UPNP protocol and GoogleCast protocol3. Photo clustering by GPS location with Google Map presentation ### DS Video - Universal Windows Platform App. (a.k.a. Windows 10 App.)- A video library browser/player for Synology NAS with a built-in media player.- Synology’s first Windows 10 app. which included all features in iOS/Android platform, and was built from scratch to beta within 9 months.- Technical highlights:1. Playback profile auto adaptation based on real-time codec capability2. Auto subtitle search and downloading3. Customized view for player controller### Now I'm working on a NAS content presenter on Android, technical highlight is shown below:- Utilize some trending technology such as Rx-Java2, MVVM architecture and databinding in Android.- Background fetch of contents that could be displayed under poor network or even offline.- Update local dataset via diff method to reduce network traffic and speed up refresh process.- Use original source file to display contents while the remote copy is exactly the same, which reduce the network communication and avoid to sacrifice media quality.
