Dimensioning & Instrumentation Laboratory; Strain gage installation - Electrical Instrumentation. Involved in surface preparation, dimensioning, bonding, soldering, quality check, troubleshooting electric circuit, and understanding Wheatstone Bridge.- Verifying types of materials, mechanical test methods, and ASTM Standards by analyzing test form. - Surface preparation: Marking, alcohol cleaning and sanding; different test methods / ASTM standards / materials will have different requirements on surface preparation.- Precise dimensioning: To allocate the location of strain gauge to be placed. - Bonding: Different test methods required different type of adhesive to bond.- Conditioning: Different kinds of test methods / adhesives required different type of conditioning, such as wet or dry condition etc.- Soldering: Different test methods also required different type of wires to be soldered on the gauges.- Quality Check: Troubleshooting the strain gauges, making sure all of them work well and are in good condition before sending out to run mechanical test.

SPTE (Student Perception of Teaching Effectiveness) sessions- Collect SPTE forms at allocated locations and arrive to the class before lesson begins.- Communicate with the lecturer(s) and make announcement in class about how SPTE works and information to the students.- Hand out SPTE forms and pencil to students and provide assistance and explanation while needed. - Double check the amount of SPTE forms after collecting back from the students and make sure they filled out the important parts before submitting back to the SPTE department.
