Yi-An Chen, PhD, is currently working as an economist at Amazon.com. Dr. Chen was working as a statistical consultant in an e-commence startup Mongmongwoo. He builds demand prediction models for thousands of fashion accessories and lifestyle product and provides data driven business strategies. Dr. chen was a researcher at the department of Financial Stability and Macro-prudential policy in bank of Slovenia. He was also a member of the operational macro-prudential research task force in European Central Bank. Dr. Chen had been responsible for risk modeling and macro-prudential instrument assessment to financial cycles, credits aggregates, banking system and asset prices in the Bank of Slovenia. He also works closely with other researchers at the European Central Bank to study various issues on financial stability. Dr. Chen completed his Ph.D. in economics at the University of Washington in 2015. Before he completes his study, he interned for Google as a developer for statistics computing program R package ''factorAnalytics''. He also consults for Zillow for several real estate projects. Dr. Chen was also an active member of the the climbing club at the University of Washington.
