Graduate Researcher
Interfacial layers to enable recyclability of all-solid-state lithium metal batteries• Designed the architecture of recyclable all-solid-state lithium batteries by incorporating interfacial layers at electrode interfaces, facilitating the delamination of battery components. Polymer-salt layers provide better physical contacts at the Li7La3Zr2O12 and Li-metal anode interface. Removal of these layers enables efficient separation and direct recycling of battery components.• Fabricated all-solid-state batteries using recycled components, showcasing the achievement of direct recycling while maintaining the core chemical structure of active materials. These batteries exhibited favorable cycling performance, highlighting the feasibility and effectiveness of the recycling process.Reprocessing solid-state composite electrolytes in all-solid-state lithium batteries• Reprocessed ceramic-polymer-salt (LLZO–PPC–LiClO4) composite electrolytes by directly re-integrating fragmented microstructures into dense pellets with low-energy process and highlighted the potential reuse of reprocessed electrolytes by fabricating all-solid-state lithium batteries with high discharge capacity with the incorporation of reprocessed composites• Stabilized crystalline structures of ceramics with heat treatment to maintain fast ion transport in composite electrolytes during reprocessingLiF-rich interfacial layer to enhance the cycling performance of all-solid-state lithium metal battery• Enhanced the cycling performance of all-solid-state lithium metal battery by introducing fluorine-based lithium salt in the polymer-salt solid-state electrolyte. The in-situ formed LiF-rich protective layer passivates undesired reactions at lithium metal anode, promoting the cycling stability.
Research Assistant
Self-assembled porous metal–organic frameworks (MOFs)• Fabricated ultra-thin MOFs-polymer-melamine foam (Zr-MOF/PVA/Melamine) composites for sound attenuation applications• Synthesized paddlewheel secondary building units-based Zn MOFs and highlighted the structural diversity effects on CO2 adsorption properties
