With an engineering and legal background, Yi Wei focuses her practice on protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights. Yi has significant experience managing international brands for clients in a wide range of industries, from consumer products to entertainment to energy. She handles all aspects of China trademark clearance, prosecution, and maintenance, and she represents clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board (TRAB).Yi regularly counsels clients regarding global brand development and protection, including use and enforcement of trademarks on the Internet. She represents clients in cease and desist efforts against alleged infringers and assists clients with policing, enforcing, and defending trademark rights. In addition to trademark procurement and portfolio management, Yi also represents clients throughout China in cases involving trademark, copyright, and design patent infringement, as well as unfair competition, and trade secret actions, playing an active role in Customs and Exhibition protection of IP rights, and the IPR protection under network environment. Yi advises clients on intellectual property aspects on mergers, acquisitions, and financings.
