Led a team of 6 students in a project analyzing UF’s streaming media service data for 400+ students in the College of Marketing. Project sought to predict students’ grades based on studying behaviors. Methodology is scalable university-wide for 50K+ students.• Probed data trends and insights from over 130 tables and 5000+ records in Data Lake using SQL Developer, resulting in a 67% increase in efficiency.• Analyzed cross-sectional data via regressions in R to accurately predict students’ success in key courses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Visualized 400+ students’ online study behavior focusing on online study time prior to exams.• Organized daily group meetings to ensure continued progress and weekly meetings to collect and implement feedback from supervisors at UFIT. Consistent feedback implementation led to an earlier project completion date by 2 weeks.• Presented final insights and recommendations to 10 UFIT Directors and Managers. Team indicated they intended to use our SQL and R code for a future data analytics project in Fall 2020.
