I am a materials scientist with a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering Materials, specializing in low-carbon and zero-carbon cement solutions. At Fortera, I lead projects focused on developing vaterite-based cements, optimizing vaterite blended cement and 100% CaCO3 systems for flexible performance. I work closely with customers to provide tailored solutions, while also advancing internal product research. My academic background includes the utilization of unconventional SCMs and industrial byproducts, contributing to sustainable, zero-carbon building materials. I’ve authored three US patents, published papers on vaterite cement applications, and regularly present at industry conferences. With expertise in low-carbon mix design, characterization, material durability, and SCM activation, I’m committed to pushing the boundaries of sustainable construction. Outside of work, I’m a passionate scuba diver, dedicated to exploring and protecting the ocean.
