Continuing Care Retirement Community and Rehabilitation Hospital

- Reorganized Grady hospital ER dental diversion project. Analyzed EPIC system data, summarized implementation strategies of the national level projects, wrote a 28-slide project progress analysis, developed an Access based EHR interface for the dental department- Co-organized the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) telemedicine project, obtained $5,000 in seed funding, created implementation strategies including purchasing equipment, acted as liaison to strengthen hospital ties with community clinics, designed monitor and evaluation frameworks- Prepared the clinic’s 2015 performance data for the federal required UDS report by querying and cleaning data from a newly adopted cloud-based EHR system, trained the clinic staff how to use the Business Intelligence (BI) function

- Completed Four health policy reviews on the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ programs: (1) ICD-10 transition, (2) Physician Quality Report System, (3) Accountable Care Organization, and (4)Children’s Oral Health Initiative. Prepared both PowerPoint and Word documents (15 pages +) for reporting each topic. Report to VP Revenue Cycle and VP Payor Relations

China Tobacco Control Partnership- Conducted literature reviews. Engaged in survey questionnaire design and program newsletter editing. Created the project Excel budget calculators and dynamic report tables/charts for reporting the process data of six program participating cities in China. Translated Chinese/English program training materials

Accidental & Health Insurance Department, Head Office- Responsible for making final decisions for individual health insurance cases to be denied or applied with exclusions. Provided training and guidance for the underwriters of Head Office Operations Center- Monitored, analyzed and reported monthly and annual statistical data on health insurance claims and underwriting operations for the Operating Committee of the Company, using Excel, Business Intelligence tools and SQL - Produced healthcare industry research reports for the Executive Committee of the Company, e.g. World Healthcare System Comparison and China/US Health Reform Update- Led the company’s Medical Risk Evaluation E-Manual project. Accidental & Health Insurance Department, Head Office- Responsible for making final decisions for complicated claim cases to be denied. Processed 10,000+ cases. Supervised and settled appeal cases reported by all 32 branch offices- Led the project of integrating national hospital database (over 20,000 hospitals) into the IT system, including coding hospitals, designing searching procedures, and developing user interface. Responsible for analyzing and reporting the data of the hospital usage, and maintaining the hospital list on the company’s webpage by using Dreamweaver 4.0
