Engineering intern / design engineer under the Transportation Planning group, starting March 2016.Responsible for the development of transportation impact studies/assessments for new and proposed developments, for purposes of submission to the appropriate municipality. Developments include residential, commercial, and mixed use projects, and focus on the implications of the development on public transit active transportation, and single occupant vehicle modes.Developed transportation impact studies using the four-stage transportation planning model and industry best practise.Completed vehicle swept path analysis, parking studies, and loading studies using the appropriate municipality's guidelines.Completed transit analysis using in-house tools to analyze operating trends and areas for improvement.Developed preliminary wayfinding signage layouts for major transit hubs.Completed transportation noise analysis and attenuation recommendations using MOECC STAMSON 5.04 software.Analysed construction, transportation and stationary noise for public and private clients.Completed inspection of developments based on noise impact study recommendations, on the basis of materials, design, construction and effectiveness.Drafted and submitted fee and proposal packages.Projects:- Transit analysis and policy recommendations under transportation master plans varying from 30,000 to 150,000 residents in Ontario- Design of transit facilities for major metropolitan stations in the Greater Toronto Area- Transportation impact, parking, loading and design assessments for various private developers, ranging from rural to highly urbanized environments- Public transit access management memos and reports- Traffic review for major transit station areas
