Professor Yiwei Wang is a nationally and internationally recognized scientist specializing in wound healing and skin regeneration, affiliated with the School of Pharmacy at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. With over 15 years of comprehensive experience across pharmaceutical science sectors, including pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, and academia, Professor Wang possesses a profound understanding and extensive expertise in orchestrating teaching and research.Her pioneering research in skin regeneration, employing synthetic biomaterials, 3D printing, liposomes, microneedles, and hydrogels, has made remarkable contributions to the domain of skin tissue engineering. Professor Wang's work encompasses the design and development of diverse 3D skin templates, delving into the interaction between skin cells, wound microbiome, and scaffolds to elucidate their efficacy in wound repair. Her investigations have significantly advanced the field by furnishing crucial insights into cellular responses and tissue interactions with synthetic biomaterial scaffolds.Moreover, Professor Wang has established innovative animal models simulating thermal injuries, trauma, and diabetic ulcers with full skin loss, thus mirroring the mechanisms underlying human wound healing.
