Working with a small developer team on PostgreSQL offering on Instaclustr's managed services on Cloud. Main languages/technologies used are Java and TypeScript, and the team uses Agile as the software development approach.- Design, develop and test new functionalities to generate and collect new monitoring metrics from PostgreSQL for client or internal requirements, new endpoints using REST API (JSON) and Prometheus (YAML) to expose new monitoring metrics, and new UIs to display new monitoring metrics in graphs.- Designed, developed and tested automated Debian version upgrade script using Ansible.- Perform benchmarks for new PostgreSQL major and minor version upgrades using Terraform to provision instances on AWS, Azure and GCP.- Assist teammates with integration of new third party open source tools and extensions by designing and developing new monitoring functionalities, and new REST API end points to expose monitoring metrics and to interact with new functionalities provided by the third party tools and extensions.- Run daily morning and afternoon stand-ups for the team. Also ran a fortnightly PostgreSQL knowledge sharing session.
