Recruited to support it’s worldwide defense and commercial service operation.• Completed 5 months of training in anticipation of deployment oversees to the Middle East in support FED/DoD clients. • Conduct pre- and post-flight planning, briefings, weather forecast analyses, Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs) and Special Instructions (SPINs) reviews, airspace requirements, development of written reports and end-of-mission log records/reports. • Evaluate end-user requirements and establish operational needs to optimize deliverables to customers. Coordinate mission specifics, review Airspace Control Plans and Mission Logs and operate various sensor systems as required by each mission.• Conduct demonstration flights showcasing Insitu’s state-of-the-art products and superior services to its customers.• Monitor UAS “health” systems and perform tests, maintenance, and troubleshooting to resolve emergent issues. • Served as UAS Pilot in Command for 2000+- hours of ISR missions. There was a total of ~20 people in Det 1. Personally supervised 8 Soldiers. • Fulfilled progressively responsible positions, culminating as the units/platoons operations section sergeant in charge of all the UAS operators and pilots. In addition to flight duties, advised, trained, resolved pay issues, and handled first line for admin related issues.• During Flight operations, functioned as the Units primary Mission Commander/Coordinator. As such, ran the flight line and coordinated with Range Control, Airspace, Instructors, Maintainers, and military leaders to conduct safe, real world ISR training. • Regularly engaged with other military units to co-use the airfield and provide more dynamic training scenarios.• Managed, accounted for, and maintained multiple aircraft and sundry ground support assets.
