- Mentored undergraduate students on the design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing procedure of a physical inverted pendulum control experiment. The optimal controller was designed using the equations of motion involved and the LQR and Pole-placement method from control theory.- Developed a working prototype of the inverted pendulum to study the feedback controller design approach. Simulated models using ANSYS and Simulink to get first order estimates.- Constructed a subsonic wind tunnel, and performed smoke flow visualization and Schileren visualization technique to study performance characteristics of a delta wing.

- Designed and implemented a sophisticated deep learning neural network with exceptional precision, specifically tailored to identify and categorize regions with a high probability of harboring crucial minerals.- Led the development of API integration for satellite data, including LandSat 9 and Sentinel 2, enabling seamless access and utilization of their valuable information.- Devised innovative data fusion techniques to combine datasets with varying temporal and spatial resolutions, resulting in a comprehensive dataset boasting both high temporal and spatial resolutions.

Lucy will be the first space mission to explore the Trojans. The Trojans are outer Solar System asteroids that orbit the Sun “in front of” and “behind” the gas giant Jupiter, at the same distance from the Sun as Jupiter. These Trojans provide a unique, never-before-explored sample of the remnants of our early Solar System. The project will revolutionize our knowledge of planetary origins and the formation of the solar system.In particular, I volunteer to communicate NASA's research goal for the project to general public. I act as a bridge between researchers and scientists working on this project and young minds in the aerospace community.

• A virtual academy hosted by NASA L'Space team is aiming to develop the future workforce in space exploration. A virtual team of around 500 students from across all universities in the US works on proposing a preliminary design review proposal for a Mar's mission.Served the subteam of 12 undergrad engineering students being the Lead Engineer for the proposal submitted to the organizers for the NASA Mission Concept Academy.

· Studied the flow behavior around an unsteady aerodynamic model of an inverted aerofoil pitching on its trailing edge. Designed the feedback controller using a Linear Quadratic Regulator and Pole Placement technique to balance aerofoil in a flow regime.· Tested controllers on high fidelity numerical simulations, like Immersed Boundary Projection Method and Vortex Panel Method.

It's been said that you teach to reap. Being a student and a tutor at the same time helps me to address a student's understanding by building a friendly atmosphere among colleagues. For about a year I've used my engineering skills to help my fellow students succeed academically. I've conducted review lectures for mechanical, aerospace, and materials engineering courses ranging from computational mechanics to modern control theory and so on. In addition to group study reviews, I conduct one on one and drop-in tutoring for over thirty courses. I have helped over a hundred different students succeed academically.Besides reinforcing the subject, tutoring has enabled me to hone my communication, leadership, and teaching skills. To be a good tutor, I learned how to explain complex topics to people in a very simple way by using practical examples from day to day life to bridge the gap of understanding fundamentals. These skills have been useful in all facets of my academic and professional life, enabling me to be a versatile and adaptive person.

- The Adler Planetarium is embarking on a project to measure night-time artificial illumination throughout the Chicago area, first using cameras onboard high-altitude balloons, and eventually, on one or more small orbital satellites. However, it is not entirely straightforward to convert measures of upward-pointing illumination to the light pollution reflected back downwards from the sky. Therefore, it is highly desirable to obtain simultaneous measures of ground-based sky brightness along with the overhead balloon or satellite observations and to have these measurements made at many ground locations. Therefore, there is a strong need for a robust, automated, well-calibrated sky monitor system that is straightforward to emplace and operate and capable of being scaled up to large numbers of deployed systems.
