As the saying goes "A smile can mean the whole world to a person." I pursued dentistry because I wanted to be the reason behind people's smiles, past their insecurities. Over the course of 5 years, my passion for psychology never withered even as I was excelling in dentistry. My keenness to understand another individual's mind and help them overcome obstacles, overpowers everything. 5+ years of communicating with patients and professors, it came to light that, I am capable of understanding the psychology of a person, connecting with them on a better level even during distressful conditions. I even had the opportunity to learn child psychology during my undergraduate study. My faculty couldn't help but admire the way I managed and treated the pediatric patients with good rapport, ensuring that my actions did not induce fear in their conscious and subconscious mind. I felt the need to be exposed to different ways of thinking and learning, to understand the human mind. So this is me, a dentist pursuing psychology to make this world a lot better and less bitter.
