Volunteer for an organization through BMC called PLAN (Parent Leadership in Autism Network). I help advocate and find resources for parents with children with autism and other disabilities.

Greet members as soon as they walk in the front and back entrance of the fitness center; Scan their key tags on the computer using computer software called Club Networks which is now converted to a new computer software called MOSO; Every month give out free samples of products that vendors from different healthcare providers give to us; Answer the phone assisting the members with any concerns they may have about their membership; Take reservations for members for classes they may be interested in; Roll towels for members and for the Women's and Men's locker rooms; Put rolled towels in the Cycling Studio on top of the bikes for the members; During down time, I take a walk through the women's locker room make sure towels are stocked, trash is swept off the floor and lockers are closed

Greet customers as soon as they walk in the front door of the restaurant; Check off which tables are available for seating on the chart at the counter in front of the restaurant; Walk with customers to their tables and give them their menu; Place orders over the phone and in person for the customers at the Take- Out counter in the back of the restaurant; During down time wipe down counters, windows and extra menus to make the restaurant look presentable

Worked in the Gastroenterology Department at the Moakley Building at Boston Medical Center; Greet patients and took their vitals, pulse, height and weight; Made sure rooms were clean and stocked and ready for the next patient; Inform patients if they had to do a urinalysis for the doctor; Made sure supplies were up to date; Utilized a computer software called Provations which let me enter patients information; Utilized computer software called IDX to schedule patients appointments; Sent out letters to remind patients of their appointments coming up and let them know to cancel in advance if the can't keep the appointment; Faxed documents for doctors; Pulled out patients old files and replaced them with the updated ones

Greet customers as soon as they walk in the store; Count register drawer before and after sales; Ring transactions on register; Inform customers about Item of the Week to increase sales for the company; Suggest add- on items at the register to increase sales; Work in the fitting room counting how many pieces of clothing they have; I take the clothing from them and put the items in a seperate room for them; Offer to get a different color, size and style for the customer if they can't find it

Painted the Roxbury Boys and Girls Club; Worked in an afternoon school program at the Roxbury Boys and Girls Club with children ages 6- 12; Published and wrote articles for a community newspaper called "The Bury"; Was a team leader for summer camps at the Dorchester YMCA; Worked in groups to help keep The City of Boston clean and safe; At the end of the year went on a trip to Rhode Island to an event called CYZYGY where we met different employees of City Year nation wide
