In 2011 I became the chairman of the studytour committee UrbanAsia. The studytour is an intercontinental tour that is organised by study association ConcepT every two years. Twenty Masters students and three academic supervisors joined the tour and with this group we visited companies, universities and construction sites in both Singapore and Indonesia. In preparation of the tour research was conducted on the subject of urbanisation and the results of this research are published in a preliminary and final report.As the chairman of the committee I was in charge of meetings and discussions, I controlled the planning and I was the spokesperson of the committee. Furthermore, I helped with finding companies for sponsorship and contract research and I organized one of the preliminary courses.

For two years I've been an student-assistant for a waterengineering course for first year students civil engineering. The tasks consisted of giving seminars for an introductory water course, supervising the practical assignments and guiding the design project.
