Worked directly with the chief research officer to elucidate mechanisms surrounding the immunological response of plasmocytoid dendritic cells. Tasks included individual experimental research design and testing, maintaining and manipulating cells lines, tuning parameters of experiments to maximize precision and accuracy of results, synthesizing vital DNA and RNA chains, reduction models to fine tune protocol and procedures, and standard laboratory techniques such as but not limited to western blot, southern blot, PCR, cell transfection and transformation.

As a sales associate I worked to help negotiate the sales of luxury jackets to customers. I was able to learn and gain a strong understanding of haute couture. As one of the top associate, I was able to develop many social and workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, communicability, interpersonal relations, and adaptability. Should I choose to, I am still in the system as a temporary sales associate to help them in periods of transition as well as busy holidays.

Main tasks included collection and analysis of data results using Microsoft excel and standard deviation. Shadowed numerous research associates and technicians to learn to learn how to maintain and manipulate cell lines in addition to the various techniques used in immunological research.

Participated in studies on Suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid and its role in cancer. As an intern, I helped to rerun tests for many of the lab members in addition to running my own experiments on specific dose - dependent treatments of cells. The results of this project were not only published but presented at numerous junior science symposiums and competitions. Worked under Dr. Chuanshu Huang.
