As a KD College Prep instructor, I am responsible for running various activities including classes, workshops, test reviews, and one on one tutoring sessions. Classes and test reviews can vary from 3 to 15 students each. Workshops can vary with a wider range of students, sometimes being as big as 50 students. My responsibilities are to instruct and manage these activities in order for all students to enjoy a lesson that is both constructive and informative.These activities serve to help our students better understand and prepare themselves for the SAT standardized test. The main objective of our curriculum is to teach our students strategies that have been specifically developed to help them maximize their scores. My responsibilities also involve teaching mathematical concepts to help them better understand the test as well.

My first responsibilities were to observe and learn from an experienced teacher every day. Once the observation period was over, I took over all the responsibilities of my mentor teacher. I spent the semester teaching 4 sections of 8th grade math (Algebra I, Pre-AP Algebra I). I was also responsible for attending curriculum meetings, staff meetings, and parent teacher conference meetings. Other responsibilities included tutoring sessions before the school day began, and detention duty after the school day ended.

As a Winner's Circle attendant, I was responsible for maintaining the Winner's Circle, the area where tickets are exchanged for prizes, and providing the highest quality of customer service that our customers expected. Attendants were tasked with making sure that the area was well stocked in all manner of prizes as well as constantly maintaining the display of said prizes. We would always be reorganizing and redecorating in order to achieve a flawless display that maximized not only visual appeal but functionality as well. We would also engage the customers to insure that they were enjoying themselves as much as possible. When problems arose, we would be one of the first responders to insure the situation was resolved with the best possible outcome for both the customer and the company.
