Assigned as a Program Aide to assist the Club Director with the responsibilities of assisting the children who were attending the Merritt Boys and Girls Club in Washington DC. This location was a school that only opened the club during the week as school was being attended. In this role, I acted as a mentor to young boys in a Passport to Manhood program. I assisted in running the club store which sold after school snacks to the club members. I ran the sports department for the club running all athletic activities and coaching the flag football, basketball, and kickball teams. I also transported the club members to activities outside of the club associated with the Boys and Girls club.
