The department's original goal was to have these volunteers bring their knowledge into our centers. My primary role is to facilitate these volunteers across three centers, who speak before groups of upwards 30 customers at a time. I use my interpersonal skills as well my skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint to design and implement the processes needed to accomplish this task monthly. In addition, I have learned new software to complete the cycle. I am also involved with two other initiatives in this department, BizLaunch and Faith in The Future.BizLaunch, held at all three centers, is another innovative program designed to support entrepreneurship in Brevard county. I again have helped or initiated and implemented processes and procedures to promote, register and track attendance in this program.Another role that is very satisfying is being the project lead for the initiative of outreach to non profits under the Department of Labor's Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. In this role, I was privileged to be a panelist at an event held by the Department of Labor.
