About Yvan Pidial

I have an in-born passion for solving problems and I consider programming as an artistic medium to express my passion. Since my teenage days, I have been driven by my intellectual curiosity to find answers to the most pressing questions and discover new concepts/ideas. Hence my obsession for the world's unsolvable mysteries ranging from ancient monuments to the physics lying behind black holes and without forgetting the Millennium Problems, to mention a few. Working as an independent game developer since August 2018, I have expanded my skills panel by designing and developing simple games from scratch on my own. I can now assert that I am a full-stack game programmer who has an in-depth technical understanding of the 3D and 2D design process and its respective pipelines. Furthermore, as an indie game developer I have enhanced my rapid prototyping skills and, in so doing, nurtured a “Document Everything” culture to keep track of my system’s iterations but also to facilitate further development by someone else.My newly acquired skills combined with my past experience as Lead R&D Developer at EON Reality Mauritius increased my adaptability to cope with different game development platform pipelines. Whether being mobile, PC, AR-based or VR games/applications, I have experienced it all! Nevertheless, learning never ends and I relish every opportunity to intellectually grow in the game development and virtual reality industries in order to be part of the team bringing the next breakthrough.
