Lead Software Engineer In Test
CurrentAs the primary SDET/QA in the Software Engineering group, I played an integral role in establishing and innovating our API-first Network-as-a-Service platform throughout our rapid growth from 20 to 200+ headcount.• Leading all activities around testing of our core systems and applications (microservices)• Designed and developed the automation framework from scratch using Python/pytest, including all libraries and tooling for API and UI testing• Developed and maintained large-scale automated tests across 4 test suites (Core API v1/v2, internal admin APIs, and portal), established comprehensive test coverage from zero to excellent levels (30,000+ tests across 500+ endpoints categorized under 90 API tags)• Established Jenkins pipelines for QA and integrated automated tests into the highly parallelized jobs that execute on a daily/weekly, or on-demand basis• Leveraged SDKs/APIs of leading cloud providers such as AWS, Google, Azure, IBM, and Oracle to automate various cloud side resources for testing our integrations with cloud providers• Working closely with developers, product managers, and SREs/NREs across the globe• Acting as a multi-hat engineer, one of the few individuals with unique skill set and a deep understanding of our systems and products
