The largest state-owned enterprise of Shanghai, the Shanghai Jiushi Group has a total asset of $90bn., operating in transportation, sports (F1 Chinese Grand Prix, Shanghai ATP), real estate, investment, and tourism. Our Dept. is charge of setting Group-wide policies, establishing cross-division strategic projects, and digital transformation.- Will be leading cross-division strategic projects targeted at increasing the Group’s profitability and competitiveness.

Functioning as Chief of Staff and reporting to GM, I led a team of six covering responsibilities such as strategy, HR, board affairs, communications, legal, procurement, and admin.

Strategy, investor relations, and other cross-functional projects.- Generated $720k (equivalent to 16% of overall event cost) of Gov. Event Fund in three years by leading a cross-functional team of 4 from Finance, Event, and Strategy and Business Operations.- Co-led two rounds of funding of $4.2mn. (150% of initial capital) from original investors by navigating the political dynamics of investors and managing the complex SOE investment regulation landscape.- Reduced staff turnover rate from 50% to 30% while helping pivot the company strategy twice from IT integration service, to esports promotion, then to esports + e-commerce.

- Discovered new partnership opportunities and conducted pre-collaboration due diligence.- Led negotiation with Formula One Management on the license of F1 Esports, eventually lowering 20% of license fee, 15% of shareable revenue, and 20% of revenue sharing percentage.- Created the media and entertainment business model of the F1 Esports Series China Championship by extending the license boundary from sporting event promotion to broadcast content and social media.- Mobilized the F1 Esports project quickly by establishing an operational budget, hiring crucial staff, and creating important industry relationships with government agencies, industry associations, suppliers and clients.

Provided analysis on venue management industry best practices, functionality advisory, and venue technology application services to venue clients.

In charge of park operations, including program management, catering and restaurant, retail and merchandise, customer services, property and safety, office, and special projects with the help of over 60 staff members.

Prepared STU Sports Park for opening and managed venue operations. Areas covered are functionality advisory, construction handover, operational planning, recruitment, booking, sales, and event management.- Advised ownership on design issues from an operations standpoint ranging from event electric to grid loading capacity, etc., saving over 3 million CNY of construction budget.- Managed special projects with a total of 55 million CNY budget during construction and supervised project phases from feasibility analysis, tendering, installation and integration, and testing and commissioning, etc.- Formulated an operations strategy that balanced education and commercial needs, reducing over 5 million CNY of loss in 24 months.- Oversaw booking, rental negotiations, pricing strategy, and client relations with a result of 50% YoY event growth.- Established crucial local government relations, which helped reduce 5 million CNY in import tariff and shorten the time in obtaining the Venue Fire Permit to 20 days.- Supervised 90 event staff members in providing guest services for the general public, VIP, media, and acts.- Established in-house ticketing solution and standard service procedures for college events.

Liaised with project management and ownership in venue pre-opening and in charge of FF&E sourcing and installation.- Nurtured crucial stakeholder relationships with associations, organizers, media, and government agencies.- Spearheaded the fixture, furniture, and equipment procurement with a total budget of 50 million CNY.
