Transit Planner Analyst
Current-Data Analysis and Reporting: Regularly identify and analyze data from multiple sources to generate monthly and annual ridership reports, forecast trends, monitor revenue patterns, and project passenger responses to fare and route changes. Conduct comprehensive statistical analysis for external agencies like CUTA and Stats Can.-Route and Service Planning: Assist in preparing budgets for scheduled mileage and platform hours, forecast operational requirements, and support route efficiency analysis. Evaluate the impact of community development on transit services through feasibility studies involving land use and demographic data.-Insights and Decision Support: Act as a subject matter expert in cross-functional teams to provide prescriptive and predictive analytics. Develop algorithms and employ statistical programming to discover patterns, validate analyses, and identify business and service improvement opportunities.-Visualization and Training: Define, design, and deliver effective data visualizations, develop a repository of reusable templates, and provide customized training to enhance self-serve capabilities. Assist in the development and revision of routes, including On-Demand services, and continuously improve data quality and collection procedures.
