I managed the company's contract logistics warehouse operations in the UAE with the major focus on cost and process optimization. Through 5 direct reports I oversaw the total of 60 employees, 23,000 sqm of warehouse space at 5 sites, including regional distribution centres for 2 Fortune-500 accounts. - Improved product profitability by optimizing operational setup, manpower allocation and various cost saving initiatives;- Ensured that key customers’ Service Level Agreements were met;- Continuously improved space utilization and service delivery through optimization initiatives;- Managed on-boarding of the new businesses, transformation of the existing storage facilities and set up the operations at new sites;- Terminated loss-giving account operations, managed the associated staff hire / termination, acquisition / disposal of MHE and other related warehouse assets; - Worked out and executed the outsourcing of customer operations to 3rd party facilities;- Made investment and improvement proposals for racking, MHE, warehouse layouts, to meet customer demands and improve efficiency and earnings of the product. - Handled incidents and related insurance claims. In coordination with QHSSE team maintained the warehouse quality standards and facilitated the internal and external audits.

An international logistics company headquartered in the UK specializing in freight forwarding services for the events industry. Reporting to the Regional Manager, I managed the company's operations overseeing projects in the UAE and other countries of MEA region;- Through 2 project coordinators and local & overseas subcontractors, executed end-to-end multimodal shipping solutions for moving high value professional equipment for the events industry in the MEA region, including tours with multiple locations;- Designed tailored end-to-end multimodal freight solutions for the new projects;- Was a key customer interface for projects with critical deadlines, including on-site project support in the GCC region, handled complicated cases.

Coordinated Damco’s existing G&D operations and implemented the new customer operations in the Middle East.- Set up the new operations in Jebel Ali for consolidation, quality assurance and distribution services for one of the largest global Damco accounts. - Built a diverse, strongly performing and motivated team of 25 reports, able to independently handle day-to-day operations;- Established the operating procedures with the network of suppliers, subcontractors and carriers;- Trained the teams supporting the project in the overseas Damco branches and UAE local offices, hired and trained the new resources responsible for the operational execution;- Succeeded in meeting customer’s project deadlines;

Managed a team of 2 direct reports handling supply chain operations for two largest Damco key accounts with their regional distribution hubs in Jebel Ali (petrochemicals and steel sector). Throughout the assignment, optimized and improved the execution of existing operations, succeeded in the implementation of the new account, developed additional business opportunities and simplified billing transactions.

Regional contact point and owner of Damco's visibility solutions and products (such as Damco Reporting platform, eDOC, other in-house systems), promoted product awareness for the Damco offices in the region, participated in business development initiatives by presenting the solutions to potential customers. Implemented several global initiatives focusing on the product improvement on the regonal level, amongst others USA 10+2 security filing in the MEA region, rebranding and upgrade of Damco Reporting. Took part in supply chain review studies for Damco's key accounts identifying tangible savings. Participated in implementation of an SCM and visibility solution for a large retail customer in UAE.

Took part in various projects within company’s supply chain management and development activities in the Middle East. Worked in teams developing and optimising logisitcs operations for existing regional accounts (predominantly in petrochemicals sector) and new solutions for the prospect accounts. Was a key user and regional contact point for Maersk Logistics in-house systems. Was responsible for budgeting, managerial reporting and other administrative tasks

As a young graduate qualified for a 2-year corporate leadership program of A.P.Møller-Maersk Group (Maersk International Shipping Education), embracing practical and theoretical education. Theoretical part was held in Copenhagen and covered studies in management, business administration as well as maritime subjects, law, logistics and supply chain. Practical part was held in the local Maersk branches and covered hands-on experience in the following roles: Sales Specialist (Maersk Line, Moscow), Vessel Capacity Coordinator (Maersk Line, Moscow), Customer Service Export Specialist (Maersk Line, St Petersburg), Logistics Coordinator (Maersk Logistics, St Petersburg). After successful completion of the 2-year course, was invited for an expat position with Maersk Logistics in the UAE.
