I am a User Experience Consultant & Industrial Designer. In other words, I focus on research and design of intelligent Products, Services and Systems from a user-centered design approach. More specifically, I believe that providing valuable user experiences means working closely, collaboratively and iteratively with the end-user to create more qualitative deliverables that adhere to the extrapolated user-needs. The design process I often work with starts with a problem/opportunity, goes through customer journey mapping, ideation, concept development, prototyping, and user-testing (potentially all the way through to funding, business agreements, manufacturing and marketing). In short, I try to find out what the user needs, whether they tell me, or I need to figure it out, and step by step, I design and test to find the best solution together. In the construct of the Golden Triangle/Triple Helix (Academia, Business, Users), every party can be seen as a user as well, and the same involvement is important when possible.In my vision of technology and design being a natural advancement in human evolution, I see the value in bringing a certain increase in value to everyone's lives with those little aesthetic, functional and adaptive transformations that new designs can offer.Designing is a way of asking questions and philosophising about hypothetical futures. It is a way of answering society and also a way of transforming it. As a designer, one has the responsibility to be curious and daring but also have a sense of the diversities in ethics, culture and respect. To me, when something is designed, it has this complete "air" to it. When something looks good, feels good, and functions well, and has that indescribable completeness within it (whether it is, for example, because of the rounded corners, or because you don't even notice the transitions from one state to another, because it adapts to the context I am in, because it feels so natural), "that" is design for me.
