Yvonne Cullivan is a professional visual artist and art educator based in Ireland. She has twenty years experience in studio-practice, public arts, curation, lecturing, facilitation, project management, research, professional development, mentoring and consultancy. She holds a B.A. in Fine Art from Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork, and an M.Sc. in Multimedia from Dublin City University. Yvonne is currently a Lecturer at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and a Creative Associate with the Creative Schools programme.Yvonne's practice is underpinned by a strong participatory and collaborative approach. She works within communities of place or interest, rooting the engagement in site-specific research and interdisciplinary knowledge generation. Sustained processes of conversation, observation, documentation, collaboration and experiential engagement with place lead to the creation of new work.Working across a broad range of documentary media, including sound, video, photography, drawing, and writing, Yvonne has produced work in the form of painting, print, sculpture, photography, film, publication and public intervention / installation. Her work has been included in conferences in Ireland and the U.K. and has been exhibited in Europe, Asia, and the United States. She has successfully delivered a number of large-scale commissions and projects across Ireland and has led professional development programs for both artists and educators.
