Battle Watch Officer for the Joint Operations Center within a joint headquarters with responsibility over the northern members of NATO and Headquarters ISAF. Responsible for timely and accurate flow of all operational information within the headquarters as well as to and from Afghanistan, SHAPE HQ, and NATO member nations. Tracked all HQ current operations, directed the assessment and analysis of operational issues across all directorates.

Brigade CIO (S-6) of a combat aviation brigade deployed to support of combat operations in Afghanistan. Managed battlefield communications and battle command capabilities to the brigade headquarters, seven subordinate battalions, and 206 Army rotary wing assets in Regional Commands-South, Southwest, and West (over half of Afghanistan’s theater of operations). Planned and supervised the installation, operation, and maintenance of C4I networks and systems. Advised the commander, staff, and subordinate commanders on C4I capabilities and network priorities to best enable battle command.

CIO for a combat aviation brigade that provided battlefield communications and battle command capability to the headquarters and five subordinate battalions. Prepared, maintained, and updatedC5I operations estimates, plans, and orders. Advised the commander, staff, and subordinate commanders on C5I capabilities and network priorities. Managed, planned, and directed all COMSEC and Information Assurance activities, mitigates network vulnerabilities, and manages and maintains more than 7,500 command and control systems.

Responsible for communications support to current and future U.S. Army daily and contingency operations within Japan. Planned and supported a disaster relief communications package supporting the Government of Japan, coordinated with USARPAC and PACOM information security organizations to establish secure networks between Japanese and U.S. installations. Supervised the Commanding General’s Communications Team who also directly supported visiting dignitaries such as the Secretary of Defense, U.S. Army Chief of Staff, and several members of Congress.

Negotiated and serviced contracts with the U.S. DoD and State Department throughout Japan generating over $10 million annually. Supported Verizon's contract connecting telephone and data fiber optic links between all U.S. Forces Japan military installations and the DISA global network.
