I am currently employed by Obsidian Engineering as a Junior Project Engineer. I have my EIT designation and will continue working towards my P. Eng here at Obsidian.

At Cornerstone, I was responsible for critical project tasks including procurement of equipment, vendor correspondence, regulatory permitting and design calculations. I was able to gain very valuable experience and develop my project management skills while at Cornerstone.

Remaining a Cornerstone Employee, I was given the opportunity to join the Facilities Construction Team in house at Tourmaline Oil Corp. as a contractor. While at Tourmaline, I assisted in the development of the Peace River area. Duties included completing the regulatory requirements for wells and pipelines set out by the Alberta Energy Regulator, aiding in the project management process and vendor correspondence.

I am very grateful that Sunwise Engineering Ltd. hired me for a second straight summer. In my second term of work for the company I was able to take on more responsibility and was able to work on larger projects. This helped me to greatly improve my time management and teamwork skills.

Sunwise Engineering Ltd. is a mechanical and electrical consulting company that deal with a variety of building projects from small to very large.At this position I was responsible for:- Aid in the design of mechanical systems from conceptual design through construction.- Provide assistance to the Mechanical Project Engineers.- Conduct site reviews of projects under construction.- Proactively identify and address potential mechanical issues on site.- Gain knowledge and expand your competency in electrical and mechanical systems.- Follow standards as well as quality assurance and quality control procedures during drawing planningand production.- Support and engage in a collaborative work environment.

QinetiQ uses their in depth experience as engineers and scientists to equip customers with powerful solutions to their most pressing challenges.As a Production Assistant at QinetiQ my responsibilities included:- Expanding my knowledge of the engineering service QinetiQ provided- Assembling and inspecting products for quality control- Testing finished products for use in the field- Reviewing engineering drawings and submitting proposed updates- Providing assistance to project engineers
