Provide leadership to a suite of teams that implement nutrition education, benefits, and anti-poverty program work that collectively reach tens of thousands of low-income and vulnerable New Yorkers to address food insecurity through improved nutrition and financial stability.

• Direct all aspects of Food Bank’s federally-funded $14.7 M five-year contract to implement its suite of CookShop nutrition education programs, annually empowering 52,000+ youth and adults at 300+ public schools in low-income neighborhoods throughout New York City to sustain a healthy diet on a budget and adopt a healthy, active lifestyle • Oversee CookShop program and project planning and refinement, curriculum development; outreach and recruitment, application, training, implementation and support; budget development, administration and procurement ($2.94 M annually); contract management, deliverable achievement, reporting, program monitoring and evaluation; state and local-level partnership management; and supervising and mentoring of staff teams and coaching of interdepartmental, cross-theme working groups• Direct the implementation of Food Bank’s Campus Pantry Program that provides 1 million meals each year to over 18,000 food insecure children and adults via school-based distribution of emergency food and personal care supplies in low-income neighborhoods throughout New York City, including budget development and grant management (more than $1.3 M annually), fundraising, recruitment, training, program monitoring and technical support, reporting and funder engagement • Direct large-scale trainings (1,000+ participants annually) that ensure program facilitators understand nutrition and health issues, maintain fidelity to curricula, apply basic food safety, and efficiently implement program logistics, including online data submission

• Supervised the team responsible for four components of the CookShop nutrition education program – reaching 40,000+ children and adults in NYC – with 150% growth in reach for 2013 • Successfully exceeded contract goals for all programs: CookShop for Families impacted 1,800+ parents in 81 schools in 2012 (144% of goal); Community CookShop reached nearly 700 participants at 12 Emergency Feeding Program sites in 2012 (175% of goal) • Developed & coordinated program budgets maximizing impact, utility and responsible use of funds • Drafted multiple programming innovations (CookShop+ School Wellness Initiative; Urban Farming plan to increase fresh produce availability in Food Bank Emergency Food Network; vulnerable children focused Open Market Back Pack program revision) that diversified, deepened and increased programmatic impact for low-income communities • Led the development of Food Bank’s Urban Farming strategic goals to pair access to fresh produce with nutrition education at emergency food programs (EFPs), CookShop schools and an upstate farm

• Responsible for the implementation of CookShop nutrition and health education programming at a portfolio of 301 classrooms at 29 public and charter schools, including coordinating with the first schools in city-wide expansion to Queens and Staten Island• Provided recruitment, on-boarding, training, equipment procurement and on-going technical support for all sites• Redeveloped and drafted revision of CookShop nutrition and health education curriculum for 2009-2010 • Administered surveys, collected program documentation and first-hand accounts from hundreds of program facilitators; analyzed and evaluated information to improve curricula and programming

• Designed and maintained a database of more than 7,000 entries used in research and evaluation • Managed and updated organization’s online research library with journal articles; reorganized and streamlined records system for hundreds of partner agencies • Supported the Research, Policy & Education department in drafting policy, research reports as well as demonstrating grant fulfillment

• Interned for 3 months at national Argentine NGO that supports community-based organizations (CBOs) focusing on employment, educational inclusion and socio-political representation for youth and their families from marginalized communities • Conducted site visits to peri-urban and rural maternal and neonatal health, social entrepreneurial and farming projects in Buenos Aires and Mendoza, Argentina • Produced report assessing Fundación SES’s CBO educational best practices network model, and presented findings in Spanish to executives and program staff • Contributed to a project evaluating the status and impact of las fabricadas recuperadas (worker-run cooperative re-opened factories) that was presented and submitted to the Ministry of Economics, Argentina

• Provided basic needs services for street-dependent and homeless youth at 24-hour drop-in/overnight safe-space center, including meals, personal hygiene and laundry services; case management coordination; recreation and workplace training activities; inventory management; youth-led council meetings• Coordinated referrals and services among social service agencies, law enforcement, and state and local government juvenile offenders and their families/guardians at 24-hour intake center • Provided assessment and referrals for homeless youth ages 15-21 needing shelter/housing, food, clothing, medical, mental health, counseling, sexual minority, and alcohol & drug resources• Advocated for youth rights and protection with various state, local and non-profit agencies • Participated in hiring and training of staff; supervised on-shift youth workers and volunteers; developed on-site youth-centered educational and recreational workshops
