At MTR Elizabeth line I performanced managed the operations of a number of Stations on the Eastern section between Liverpool Street and Shenfield. My flagship station was Romford which has over 11 million customer entries and exits per year, making it among the top 30 busiest train stations in the UK.In this role I line managed a 45 team members across gateline, dispatch and ticket office functions. I was responsible for the delivery of customer service across our stations, ensuring we deliver TfLs concession requirements for customer information, station ambience and health and safety standards. I led the customer focused response to major operational incidents - Persons under train incidents, trespass events and major fleet or asset failures as part of our operational on call roster. My role also included reviewing and improving operational performance on the Eastern section, seeking to combine on the ground insight with creative campaigns to influence customer behaviors. Examples include working with the British Transport Police to improve our responses to criminal activity on our trains and Network Rail to deliver suicidal awareness training for our frontline teams. We consistently delived a 96% PPM.In this position I was also the operational interface manager for the Romford Station upgrade, ensuring that the customer impact of the £10 million upgrade was minimised. This included working closely with Network Rail and the Volker Fitzpatrick team to deliver the upgrade works, whilst also delivering excellent customer service, gradually taking the operation of a new ticket hall, station entrance and full step free access into customer service.The station now has an enlarged ticket hall with additional capacity, a new ticket office and step free access to all 5 platforms.
