Motivated and personable professional with a knack for solving problems and mastering technology quickly. I've just completed a 14-week coding bootcamp which teaches object-oriented, database, server-side, client-side, web application, and web security programming skills and practices. My most recent projects were written in C# using the ASP.NET MVC framework to create dynamic web-based apps from scratch.Graduated from UC College of Business in 2009 through the Carl H. Lindner Honors-PLUS Program, where I graduated with a major in Marketing and a minor in Management. I also participated in the UC Co-op Program and worked at Fifth Third Bank in their Financial Leadership Co-op Program, mostly working in the Accounting department but also spending time in Financial Reporting.Switched gears to follow other passions and obtained a Masters in Teaching from Mount St. Joseph with a focus on Grades 7-12 Mathematics. Though I deeply enjoyed expanding my knowledge of math, I ultimately decided that teaching was not the career path for me.I chose to make use of my background in business and went into retail by working at Walgreens, where I was promoted to the position of Shift Lead. I was responsible for managing day-to-day store operations, including customer service, inventory management, cash handling, staff scheduling, and merchandising. On multiple occasions I was selected to assist with special projects throughout the district, providing added stability and flexibility to district operations.Retail isn't for everyone, and after 7 years I decided it was no longer for me and chose to dive into programming and software development. It's a field where I can utilize my passion for math, problem solving, and sometimes even customer service from my time in Retail. I'm attending the 14-week boot-camp at Tech Elevator to prepare for becoming a full-stack junior developer.
