Zach is a 2007 graduate of West Delaware High School, where he was a 3 sport letter winner (baseball, football, and wrestling), where he was also selected to an all-star series for each sport:Shrine Bowl(football), Border Brawl(wrestling), and Iowa High School Baseball All-Star Series. While managing to play three sports in High School, Zach also found time for academics. He was named to the honor roll all-four years in high school, named academic all-state, and academic all-conference. He also was chosen to the National Honor Society, Student Council President, and was awarded the Bernie Saggau award.Zach holds a BA degree in Health and Sports Studies from the University of Iowa, also a certificate in entrepreneurial management, graduating in 2011. While in college, Zach played four years on the University of Iowa’s baseball team, where he compiled 153 starts, 132 hits, 20 doubles, 4 triples, 4 homeruns, and 73 RBIS in his career. He also managed to accomplish three school records: most hits in a game with 5, most triples in a game (2), and most sacrifice bunts in a season (16). Zach was honored as Third-Team All-Big 10 player his junior season, while compiling three Academic All-Big Ten awards, earning one year of Distinguish Scholar Award. Zach was also elected on to the University of Iowa Baseball Team Unity Council. Upon graduation from Iowa, he started his coaching career at Diamond Dreams Baseball and Softball Academy in Coralville, IA. He quickly started taking over the reigns as Director of Operations. He then quickly saw the opportunity to sell baseball equipment, where he became an equipment manager and a dealer for several baseball brands. Along with his Director of Operations/Equipment manager position, Zach also had the opportunity to coach baseball at the Division III level in Mount Vernon, IA, as the Cornell College assistant baseball coach. Also, Zach keeps ties with the University of Iowa coaching staff and coaches at the Iowa baseball camps.
