I developed data-driven control methods for multi-agent distributed energy resource systems. Utilized both classical control techniques like Model Predictive Control, as well as machine-learning techniques like Behavioral Cloning and Reinforcement Learning. I've built an end-to-end simulation framework for peer-to-peer energy systems that can take in and clean data, perform system model identification, develop time-series forecasts for disturbances, and test a range of optimal control algorithms on real-world conditions.

I led a team to design and build a prototype forklift arm for autonomous operation in a high-stakes, hazardous environment. We performed detailed stress and fatigue analysis in Solidworks, selected and procured all parts (actuators, sensors, metal, etc.) and built a working prototype from scratch. We then tested it's remote control system in a realistic experiment.In another project, our team of three designed and built a boiling experiment to be launched onto the International Space Station. It will explore ways to passively cool electronics in space with a fluid phase change system, which is much more efficient than the current forced air cooling system.
