I have always been interested in the weather for as long as I can recall. Growing up in the Chicago area allowed me to experience a diverse array of meteorological events such as blizzards, floods, and severe weather outbreaks. In college, I comleted a dual degree in meteorology and applied math. My goals are to use my knowledge and research I conduct and transform it into products that can better educate the public on hazards in hopes of minimizing the detrimental impacts on society from extreme weather phenomena.I have had research experience in high school working at UW-Milwaukee on topics relating to atmospheric stability and thermodynamics. At the University of Miami, I completed undergraduate research and my senior thesis on precursors to rapid intensification in tropical cyclones. Currently, as a PhD student at CU Boulder, I am in the synoptic meteorology group with Andrew Winters focusing on making an objective cold front climatology for the Colorado Front Range. My research interests include synoptic dynamic meteorology, tropical meteorology, and high-impact weather.
