Ainthoven is bringing to market the first ever expert-level interpretation tool for pediatric and young adult screening electrocardiograms powered by machine learning in order to eliminate preventable sudden cardiac arrest and protect +100,000 young lives.

Co-founded, developed, and led Who We Play For, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to fighting sudden cardiac arrest (#1 killer of student athletes) by providing affordable heart screenings. Active from 2012-2014 and then rejoined full time in 2020. As in-house counsel: draft and negotiate all contracts; research and analyze state and federal law regarding all aspects of the operations including current and future business operations; draft and develop all internal policies; manage and oversee data compliance and data privacy; analyze and advise on state law and county/local rules and regulations; and provide insight on all legal aspects of the nonprofit’s operation. Attorney in the Healthcare Practice Group focused on regulatory and transactional issues with a smaller focus on litigation issues. Research law and draft memoranda regarding (i) federal and state regulatory compliance, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, EMTALA, HIPAA, the Common Rule, data privacy, and the ACA for hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, and other healthcare providers and (ii) federal and state government investigations and inquiries into healthcare companies.
