I performed analysis to determine if data was suitable for automated reporting, geocoded coordinates and addresses, and generated products such as contour lines from DEM data. I also developed and maintained an automated reporting and mapping engine built on ArcInfo that processed over 2000 reports daily as PDFs with advanced features such as map layering and bookmarking.

This position illustrates my interest in technology and as a self-learner.My technology professional experience began in the early days of the population gaining access to the WWW. Sometime in 1995 a friend mentioned to me that our University’s Graduate school was looking to gain access to the web. I jumped on the opportunity and set up a meeting with the Dean for Monday, the day was Friday. That was two and half days to learn what the WWW was and how to code html. My tech savvy and excitement to find the SciFi channel website led to a one line of html code demonstration linking a personally saved file in html format that linked to SciFi website and gaining the job. My demo utilized a text only based web browser accessed from mainframe login.
