My current trajectory at Vanguard has its roots in the skills I acquired and applied during my first professional experience with the County of San Diego amid the COVID crisis. As a counselor and case manager, I administered behavioral health services to thousands of homeless sheltered clients. These interactions were often emotionally charged, and I approached them with a steadfast manner rooted in motivational interviewing and meeting the client where they are.In my current position at Vanguard, I've seamlessly transitioned my skills from crisis intervention to the world of finance, demonstrating my adaptability and ability to excel in high-pressure situations. Both my previous role and my current responsibilities at Vanguard require adept management of emotionally charged circumstances, be it during crisis intervention or in the financial world, navigating changes of ownership and asset transfers due to various life events, such as death or divorce. My time at Vanguard has been marked by continual growth and advancement. I have successfully passed the SIE Exam, Series 6, Series 63, and, years later, the Series 7. In addition, I've earned certifications such as the Wealth Management Specialist and the Retirement Plan Fundamentals Certificate Course, which included in-depth exploration of QKA studies within the ASPPA framework. With a track record of adapting to diverse, high-stress situations and a commitment to professional growth, I'm poised to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of Vanguard.
