As Equipment Yard Supervisor I managed the equipment yard and the CESE parked in it; established and enforced traffic control through the yard; maintained and established parking lines and areas; took charge of the vehicle refueling station and equipment wash rack; and ensured that all operator maintenance procedures were performed correctly to reduce equipment breakdowns. I determined operator liability. Worked with the Dispatcher to cycle and exercise equipment not otherwise used during that week in accordance with instructions. Ensured accurate entries were entered into the Cycle Log. And ensured that all operators were performing proper checks of equipment prior to dispatching. Supervised operators performing PRE/POST operations checks, and operational maintenance requirements. Maintained operator manuals, and lubrication charts and documented usage in record logbook. Provided feedback to the Dispatch Work Center Supervisor of completed/not-completed requirements for proper documentation in SKED.

As Equipment Dispatcher my primary responsibilities were to manage the unit's equipment resources efficiently within the general policies and directives of the U.S. Navy and according to local policies, as directed by the unit Equipment Officer. I also provided route information to operators by briefing them on route conditions limitations and local laws and regulations. I also calculated accurate equipment status by maintaining equipment status boards and assignment sheets that listed all equipment assigned to the unit. Maintained control of keys to all vehicle-locking devices, and secured all primary circuit ignition keys and padlocks. I maintained all required forms and records, ensuring that CESE required to operate over the road contained mishap reporting procedures and forms. Collected feeder data such as inventory, allowance status, equipment availability/non-availability, and usage/cost information. Scheduled equipment by rotating vehicles between jobs where practical. Fully exercised unused equipment weekly per NAVFAC guidance to minimize deterioration. And made equipment available for preventative maintenance service as schedule by the maintenance branch.
