While working as an Editorial Manager at Skyword, I have had the opportunity to edit content for both large and small organizations, including Capital One, Verizon, Thrivent, Edwards Lifesciences, and more. For each program I lead, regardless of whether the project calls for management of niche subject matter or larger scale B2B topics, I learned the importance of researching the company’s mission, vision, and voice, as well how these differ from others across the industry landscape. This process entails assessing the industrial landscape for SEO practices, tone and audience, and more. As an Editorial Manager, I build and manage a network of freelance writers and editorial team members working on each account to establish productive editorial workflows with high content volume and tight deadlines.

I managed multiple editorial pipelines simultaneously for ImageTexT journal, and I communicated with publishers, authors, editorial members, and more. More specifically, I matched accepted articles to peer reviewers in relevant scholarly fields, managed and coordinated the different circuits of the journal (article editing, style editing, book reviews, and production editing), and oversaw the journal's website redesign.

I edited new accepted submissions to ImageTexT, looking primarily for larger content and thematic continuity, organization, and argument cohesion. I also edited for smaller concerns like proper citation practices, grammatical miscues, and etc. I also managed the Book Reviews publication circuit--contacting publishers to request review copies--and trained future Book Reviews editors.

I copyediited article and book review submissions for the journal, primarily for largerthematic and argumentative details, though also for structural and clarity concerns.

I taught courses in college writing, technical writing, advanced writing, film studies, advanced film studies, and writing with media. I also conducted research and published scholarship in the areas of media ecologies and composition studies.

I designed and implemented an after-school creative writing/journalism program for middle school students. I also designed an educational activity about overfishing's environmental and economical impacts for middle and high school students. I also oversaw and implemented programs like the NUSSP, YSP, RE-SEED, etc. at the Center over the past three years. For the Center, I conducted various kinds of k-12 outreach , visiting schools and classrooms in the Greater Boston Area and contributing to student interest in STEM fields.

I worked as a Writing Consultant helping Northeastern University students who would schedule appointments to come in to the Writing Center to discuss writing assignments and improve both individual papers and overall writing skills. I also coordinated all outreach programs conducted by the Center (One Day, One Goal, #WhyIWrite, et.), presented research at national and regional conferences (NCPTW 2015 and NEWCA 2017), created a video for students and faculty to better understand how to utilize the Center's resources, and led training workshops for our tutors and in-class workshops for university students.

I tutored online and in-person appointments with students all around the greater Boston area. I specifically provided support in the areas of general writing, writing mechanics, grammar, literature, and guitar.

I provided writing tutoring to individual students as well as entire classes that visit the Writer's Room. I also worked in classrooms providing similar efforts for teachers of need throughout the school. I have edited the published school literary magazine, Rubix. I also worked with the various after school programs implemented within the Writer's Room.
