My research focuses on understanding pore-scale rock-fluid interactions critical to underground gas storage, with a focus on bio-methane, CO2, and especially hydrogen. During my PhD, I performed X-ray visualization experiments of hydrogen flow within rocks under conditions representative of potential underground hydrogen storage sites - a first in this area of study.Before transitioning into research, I was a founding member of the team that established the College of Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences (CPG) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia - a joint initiative between Saudi Aramco and KFUPM. In my role as Supervisor of Technical Support, I oversaw the procurement and integration of laboratory equipment and services and equipped these labs with state-of-the-art technologies. I also spearheaded the deployment of a customized Lab Information Management System (LIMS) that enabled secure, paperless operations and optimized control of laboratory activities.Earlier in my career, I served as a Research Engineer managing a Digital Rock Physics laboratory after earning my Master's in Petroleum Engineering with a specialization in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR).
