Founder of the global writing initiative Five Hundred Mil Square Kilometers, I am an altruistic writer who decides to share her pieces with the world in order to benefit the human race. As the Maine Girls State and Girls Nation Senator, my interests also lie within international studies and global affairs. As politics impact global health and scientific writing is an emerging field, I have always connected the dots between all three interests to formulate a product that emphasizes on all initiatives and academic standards.As part of The Telling Room writing organization, I have been published seven times only within their programs. I have also been a participant in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for two consecutive years. I am a proud Ambassador of the organization, and my mission is to share youth stories while I expand my horizons as a writer and as a mentor. Besides attending Michelle Obama’s boom tour, The Telling Room has been my main activity as I found a home on their comfortable couches and relaxing space; mixed with a taste of ripped papers and the smell of revised lines.I am also a proud mentor to elementary school children and high school student. My all-time favorite moments consist of helping others in all ways possible, including helping an 8-year-old correctly pronounce “environment.” What I have learned from mentoring is a three course meal: gratitude, helpfulness, and a deep appreciation for my mentors who devote their time to make an impact and impose a change.Youth-led organizations bring a complex aspect to the light, and that’s one of the reasons why I am Med For All’s Iraqi Ambassador. We focus on supplying underserved communities with necessities, and shedding the light while finding resources for medical disparities in underdeveloped countries. Led by my colleague and dear friend Kyle Lambert, MFA transcends boundaries to help those who are forgotten and are in the midst of experiencing life-threatening situations.Being an ambitious female with a goal, the Middle Eastern within me rises as I aspire to invest my success into helping others.An avid reader with a calming and concentrated passion in life-mapping literature, I enjoy Charles Dickens’ fantasies and Trevor Noah’s realities while relying on Shakespeare’s classics.As a senior, I will be competing as a PF debater, a writer, and a scientific researcher. I will also be a first-year Yale Young Global Scholars Ambassador, giving informational sessions around Maine. I will also be pursuing my academic passions as always, especially Global Health & Affairs.
