Develop proactive risk management strategies in collaboration with the foundation’s management and enterprise risk management team.

Responsible for managing the legal department, including budgetary issues, personnel matters, and contracting for outside legal services. Supervised 32 staff attorneys in litigation, labor and employment, tax, municipal, health and real estate law. Participated in strategy and settlement conferences for pending litigation. Appeared before and advised the Wayne County Commission concerning legal matters affecting Wayne County.
