I've started working at a very young age in rural Iowa with a variety of jobs. Growing up I worked on farms maintaining the livestock, agriculture, and farm machinery. I helped local construction contractors with various task including concrete work, roofing, and general construction. During high school I got my feet wet in the cooperate world of retail when I was a sales representative for Charter Communications. I excelled at this being one of the top salesmen in the company. After Graduating high school I joined the United States Army where I quickly climbed the rank of sergeant within two years of service. This is a rare achievement, but my motivation paid off. During the this time I completed back to back tours to Afghanistan as an artillery crew member while directly in charge of nine other men, and upwards to 750,000 dollars worth of military grade equipment. Upon being honorably discharged from the Army I started working in the renewable energy industry as a wind turbine technician. I've been a wind tech for the past four years honing my electrical, hydraulic, safety, interpersonal, and professional skills on a daily basis. While continuing to work fulltime I started a degree in wildlife conservation to learn more about preserving the natural habitat on this planet.
